How to Become an Instacart Shopper

To become an Instacart shopper, you’ll need to apply with your name, phone number, email address, zip code, and driver’s license. You’ll also need to download the Instacart app and fill out a questionnaire.

Instacart will have you sign an independent contractor agreement, submit a W-9 form, and conduct a background check if shoppers are needed in your area. If everything checks out, you’ll receive a prepaid debit card for grocery purchases and can begin working.
